Technologists float in the 800th Lord Mayor’s Show
Proudly sponsored by FDMGroup, Howard Tenens and Unusual Rigging. Also supporting us is our partner Mvine.
On Saturday 14th November 2015, starting at 11:00, the 800th Lord Mayor’s Show will wend its way through the City of London as it has since the early 13th century. With just two weeks remaining until the 800th Lord Mayor's Show it is time to reveal the final details of our Company float 'Talent Unleashed'.
Our float highlights the work of the Company in coaching over 450 Royal Signallers from service to civilian life in recent years. It will focus on the transition that service men and women make from uniformed life and in particularly the way that WCIT 'unleashes' their talent in civilian employment. It will illustrate this journey as soldiers in uniform progress to civilians in business attire, with WCIT aiding the transformation.
Our float will be led by the Deputy Master, Wardens and Clerk, and supported by various members of the Company and serving Royal Signallers. We hope that the Master (Alderman Sir David Wootton) will be interviewed by the BBC from the steps of The Mansion House as the float passes by on national TV.
Our float is generously sponsored by FDM a major employer of ex-service personnel. Also sponsoring in kind is Howard Tenens Logistics (providing the float vehicle) and Unusual Rigging who are creating the superstructure to which our signage and wide screen plasma displays will be affixed.
Remember to follow us on Twitter @it_livery and if you are not able to attend on the day then please do follow the live coverage on BBC 1. Our float will be no. 72 in the parade, preceded by the Royal Signals White Helmet motorcycle display team. Our float will also feature in the official Lord Mayor's Show Prospectus (available for purchase on the day). Video from the the event will also be posted on the WCIT YouTube Channel.
