The Worshipful Company of Information Technologists and 100th City of London Livery Company is dedicated to promoting the massively important IT Industry by running a significant and highly influential programme of charitable, social and educational activities.
Our growing membership of 800 includes 2 former Lord Mayors of London and distinguished women and men with live connections to some of the most influential specialists in the IT industry worldwide. Most are engaged in our numerous pro-bono activities and are justifiably proud of making a big difference to
the lives of young and deserving people throughout the UK.
A small dedicated staff team is led by the Company’s Clerk, (a medieval title) whose role is equivalent to that of a CEO but to make your mark in this challenging and highly prestigious role, working for one of the Modern Livery Companies you will need:
• strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate
• the ability to forge excellent working relationships with individual members, benefactors, major international enterprises and technical specialists
• the flexibility to manage significant projects and events
• marketing, promotional and public relations capabilities
• ideally, fund-raising experience, facilities and financial management
• the determination to enjoy both a consensual and a traditional culture when you drive to achieve our ambitious charitable objectives.
This is an important individual role in the City of London with regular opportunities to represent us at Civic events and to perform various ceremonial duties on formal occasions as well as to provide your close support working alongside our two schools and our associated military and cadet units. A number of engagements occur in the evenings and being within an easy commute of the City of London is advantageous.
Experience of membership and charitable organisations would be desirable as well as a degree level education and a strong empathy towards industry, government and educational sectors.
