The deadline for entries is 30th April. So don’t miss out on the chance to win one of the prestigious awards on offer.
After all, you are judged by the company you keep. And previous winners of the WCIT awards have included founders, Stuart Clark of Impendium; Aidan Cooney of Opta Sports Data and Duane Jackson of Kashflow - all of whom have successfully sold their businesses recently.
Underlining our Midas touch, Vin Murria, recipient of the Judges’ Award last year, recently announced that Advanced Computer Software, the company she founded and latterly worked for as CEO, was being acquired for about £725 million, while last year's winners and finalists, Fanduel and Transferwise have reportedly had $1 billion valuations in the last few months. Added to that, Murria will also be a special guest at this year’s Oscars for Technology Entrepreneurs alongside other stars of the sector including Mike Lynch, founder of Autonomy; Steve Garnett, chairman EMEA at salesforce.com; Mike Tobin, co-founder of Telecity; Richard Holway, chairman of TechMarketView and keynote speaker, Stephen Kelly CEO of The Sage Group Plc.
Winners of this year’s awards will be offered the opportunity to join technology livery company, the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists (WCIT) free of charge in the first year.
If you win, you’ll also qualify for a year’s free membership of the UK’s technology trade association, TechUK. And you’ll additionally be invited to a special industry briefings on vital business topics involving awards sponsors which this year include The Sage Group plc; Cobalt Corporate Finance; GFT and Smith & Williamson.
Winners will also receive a trophy marking their success plus a signed certificate, both presented by two of the Enterprise Awards sponsors on the night and inclusion in a winners’ networking dinner with ‘rock star’ business chiefs. In addition to all this, they will get the opportunity to be a guest at a series of WCIT business lunches and meet the current WCIT Master, Nic Birtles. And they’ll qualify for a half day social media for business master class from Whiteoaks, the Livery’s PR consultancy
Successful entrepreneurs will be able to promote their relationship with the WCIT through the use of the Enterprise Awards or WCIT logo and join a successful network of Enterprise Awards alumni.
Just entering the awards will help you judge your business strategy against others and focus your future vision; enhance your personal and business profile through increased PR coverage; participate in regular WCIT City-based thought leadership events and network with an influential community of business leaders across a range of sectors.
