This year's Enterprise Awards Dinner takes place at Plaisterers' Hall, One London Wall on June 4th. Initiated by Liveryman John O'Connell in 2011, it will be the fifth one and is expected to attract a full house of approx. 300 guests celebrating some of the most successful technology entrepreneurs in the UK and Ireland, sponsored by members of our Livery Company and associates.
In 2014 the prestige of the EAD was enhanced when we recognised Vin Murria CEO of Advanced Computer Software Products in the Judges Award Category - the first ever founding CEO of a plc to be recognised by us. Again our 'Midas touch' has had an effect as soon afterwards it was announced that her company was being acquired for approx. £725 million! Previous Award winners and panellists, Stuart Clark; Aidan Coney and Duane Jackson have all successfully exited recently. Last year's Winners and Finalists Fanduel and Transferwise have reportedly had $1 billion valuations in the last few months. Luminaries who have spoken in the past have been Dr Steve Garnett; Richard Holway; Mike Lynch; Mark Lancaster and Mike Tobin.
This year we welcome Sage plc as a co-sponsor and Stephen Kelly who left his post as COO of the Cabinet Office last year to take up his role as CEO of Sage plc will be our keynote speaker. Our other co-sponsors are Cobalt Corporate Finance; GFT; TechmarketView and Smith & Williamson. We are supported by techUK, and the Innovation Warehouse.
