The New Freemen's Dinner will be held in the impressive Vintners’ Hall. Vintners' Hall is home to one of the Great Twelve Livery Companies of the City of London and is famous for entertaining five kings in 1363, three of whom were allowed out of the Tower of London for the evening! The magnificent hall existed as early as the twelfth century and the Vintners’ company received its Royal Charter in 1364.We are delighted to announce that our guest speaker for the New Freemen’s Dinner 2019 will be Alderman William
Russell. William is Alderman for the Ward of Bread Street, he served as Sheriff in 2016/2017 and is in line to be Lord Mayor of the City of London in 2019/2020. William has over thirty years’ experience in the financial and business City including the national and international Banking sector. He is currently Chair of CDAM, a London based Asset Management business and Senior Advisor to STJ Advisors. William also has a number of charitable interests; he has served as Chair of the Development Board of the Royal Court Theatre, Board Member of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and is on the Council of the Royal Theatrical Support Trust.
