  ITC Coaching

The Employment Panel offers members of the IT Company & the Royal Signals the opportunity to make use of a number of services to provide help for those looking to transition into a new part of their career. This could be due to job loss, voluntary or otherwise, or could be simply that the time has come for a new challenge. The services are offered pro bono.

The idea is that there is a pick-n-mix set of component services that can be tailored to your needs. The component services are outlined below for those who already know what they need. For others the choice may not be clear and so we can arrange a 30 minute phone call to clarify the options and to agree how the panel can help.

The first steps are for you to review what’s on offer and to send through a request form & then we’ll get in contact to take things forward.

Career Coaching
Career coaching is a longer term option than any of the others involving meetings over a period of 3 months where you can explore improving  your work satisfaction, changing jobs, or making a career change. Rather than simply giving advice, the coach will ask questions to help you clarify your career direction and develop a plan to transition to where you want to be. This is not a soft & fluffy process and will be focussed on what you want to achieve.

How to use your CV
If you are looking for a job via an agency or directly, it is the first information that the potential employer has about you.  It makes sense to use your CV with caution, it should not go to ‘all and sundry’.  A CV will need to be a living document and will need to emphasise particular strengths you have depending on the job being applied for.

Interview Practice

This practice may happen face to face or by phone.

Personality Profiling
Personality profiling uses questionnaires in order to provide you with information on your personality that you may not already be conscious of. This awareness may be of use in deciding which roles you may be suitable to pursue or identify areas on which you may be interested in developing. Often this type of profiling is used in the recruitment process. This is a service for you to experience receiving a personality profile.
