800th Anniversary of London Bridge
The commemorate the 800th anniversary of the completion of the first stone London Bridge, the Lord Mayor's Appeal has been granted permission to close the bridge and organise an Anniversary Fayre, to include a sheep drive.
This will take place on Saturday 11 July and will be open to non-Freemen of the City of London as well as Freemen.
The beneficiaries of the 2009 Lord Mayor's Appeal are St John Ambulance London (Prince of Wales) District and the Lords' Taverners.
