Good news from Lilian Baylis Technology School!
UPDATE: Following the recent outstanding report on its OfSTED inspection, a reception was held on 21 April at Lilian Baylis Technology School, when the Information Technologists' Company signed a new five year agreement of support for the School. Lilian Baylis has been awarded the national ICT mark. This award shows that Lilian Baylis is at the forefront of using ICT to enhance teaching and learning. This new quality mark recognises schools who can demonstrate they use ICT to support all learners and all school activities. The ICT Mark is awarded by Becta, the government's lead agency for ICT in education.
Lilian Baylis has been awarded the prestigious Sieff Award, by Business in the Community. This award recognises the achievement of outstanding individuals based in the community, who have successfully collaborated with business to benefit both society and business.

Lilian Baylis Technology School recently received a letter stating it was one of the top 100 schools in England for sustained improvement at KS2-3 from 2003-6. Although the letter arrived after the 2007 SATs we are still pleased to have received it! This year's SATs results in Science and Maths both show modest increases, so maintaining our upward projectory
Lilian Baylis was recently chosen to take part in BBC Newsday. Students ran a newsroom for the day supported by Peter Horrocks (Head of BBC TV News). You can see their work at:
