Each month NetProfile presents an interview with a member of the Company talking about their activities.
The subject of this month's NetProfile is
Currently I am a member of the Charity Walk/Autumn Event panel; previously I have been a member of the Arts Panel.
I have been involved with organising the walk and related events, and with the planning of the autumn event this year. Also (together with my wife) I am organising the Walk, which this year will take place under the auspices of the Events Panel.
The original Charity Walk event was enjoyed by members and was able to give generously to Barnardos, the chosen charity, but after many years needed to be replaced by a more dynamic fundraising event.
This year the main fundraising event will be a quiz. The walk will still take place, but mainly as a fellowship event with a modest fundraising target.
This will depend on the success of these two events this year.
It’s an opportunity to contribute to a “good cause” and I enjoy working with other members of the company.
As Global CTO for Ipsos-MORI I am often travelling abroad on business, but when I am in the UK much of my spare time is spent with my family – our daughter is about to start at City of London Girls school. I enjoy walking and country pursuits, and shoot competitively with the Stock Exchange Rifle Club. I am involved with BCS Elite and other industry fora.
