The Company's membership brings together people from all aspects of the IT sector - suppliers and users, hardware and software, 'traditional' IT companies and cutting edge start ups. This breadth of experience means that we are ideally positioned to address to provide a neutral platform for discussion and debate. In addition, our Industry Committee has relationships with some of the key institutions within the City and beyond who value their impartial input on some of the key issues facing the IT sector.

Entrepreneurship

A group of members are currently active in bringing together investors, institutions and providers of services to support investment in technology companies

Breakfast Seminars

We run a series of ‘hot topic’ seminars to provide expert comment / discussion on key issues facing the IT industry. These seminars bring together attendees from within and from outside the WCIT to listen to three key note speakers (leading names in the various seminar topics). Monies raised through these events are donated to the WCIT Charitable Trust. The speeches are followed by an interactive discussion with the attendees: Topics covered so far:

  • ‘Resilience and The City’
  • “Key Skills”
  • ‘Intellectual Capital’

Further breakfast seminars are being developed on ‘Knowledge Management’ and ‘Business Partnerships’

Professionalism in IT Programme

The ITC is working with the BCS on their Professionalism Programme in an advisory capacity.
